The initial step in the construction process is the design. Let Fouts Construction work one on one with you to customize a floor plan that best fits your needs and budget. Once this is accomplished the blueprint will need to be evaluated to establish a cost. To assist in keeping the costs within budget we will discuss options, make suggestions, and answer any questions you may have efficiently.

Cost depends on several factors, such as:

• excavating issues: amount of land to be cleared, underground rock, sand, and water
• septic, well, sewer, and plumbing location & quantity
• without doubt the sum of square footage is a huge factor
• the quantity and location of the bathrooms need to be taken into consideration
• the overall structure and height of walls and roof lines shouldn’t be ignored
• window dimensions, quantity, and make
• interior finishes: cabinetry, granites, flooring, and appliances show a discrepancy in value
• exterior finishes: siding, stone/brick, concrete work, and landscaping

With design being essential to the process the actual construction is just as imperative. Fouts Construction does all frame work, siding, shingling, concrete work (driveway, basement, sidewalks, garage floor, patios…), and installation of doors/windows, builds decks, installs cabinetry, and performs nearly all finish work.

You may choose to do a walk through with the plumber, electrician, and painter to go over details and requests. Arrangements made with the landscaper could require a few meetings out at the job site so each and every landscaping issue can be discussed. When the customer and builder are actively involved the project stays structured, creating a great experience for both parties!

Upon completion of your new home a walk through with the builder is recommended so details can be addressed before occupancy. Once your custom home is finished we present a Homeowner’s Manual complete with warranty information, product information, and instructions on proper care and maintenance.
